Perfect to get you started on the essentials. Learn about flower types, buying wholesale, conditioning and care, making a retail bouquet, and wrapping techniques.

This one full day course is a great starting point for anyone thinking of a career in floristry but don't want to commit to the full 5 day career changer course. Ideal if you want to start a side hustle and make bunches of flowers for retailing at markets or events. It's also a good foundation for getting to grips with basic floristry and getting an idea of what's involved. We will cover:

•Buying wholesale ; where and how

•Prepping and conditioning your flowers

•Practical : making a gift bouquet with spiralling technique

 •Pricing for profit

• Minimal and contemporary bowl arrangement using a Kenzan 

• Wrapping and Aqua Packing

• Guest speaker : Accoutant Sara Schlatte from Sum Studio will talk all things setting up your own business

•Take your finished bouquet home, minimal bowl arrangement, and new skills and knowledge 

All materials and tools are included and all you need to bring is yourself. Floristry can be messy so wear appropriate clothing. Light refreshments included but please bring or buy your own lunch during the lunch break.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses booked through Glasgow Flower School.
By booking a course, you, the participant, agree to the following terms:
1. Booking and Deposits
A £200 deposit is required to secure a place on any course (unless the course is less than 6 weeks from the booking date - see point 2). The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. Deposits must be paid via the course listing on our website at the time of booking. Your place is confirmed only once we have received your deposit payment.
2. Balance Payments
The outstanding balance of the course fee must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the course start date. If the balance is not received by this deadline, we reserve the right to cancel your place and retain your deposit. Once the final payment has been made, the full amount is non-refundable. If the course is being booking less than 6 weeks from the course date, we will take payment in full. 
3. Cancellations and Changes
If you cancel your booking more than 6 weeks before the course start date, your deposit will be retained, but no further payment will be due. If you cancel within 6 weeks of the course start date, the full course fee is non-refundable.
At our sole discretion, and subject to availability, we may be able to:
Offer you a place on a future course, or offer your place to another participant on our waiting list.
If either option is possible, any transfer or rebooking will be agreed individually.
We cannot guarantee a replacement or transfer unless your cancelled place is successfully filled.
4. Course Changes or Cancellations by Us
In the unlikely event we need to cancel or reschedule a course, we will offer either:
A transfer to an alternative course date, or a full refund of all amounts paid (including deposits).
We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation.
5. Participant Responsibility
It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they can attend the full course on the scheduled dates: We cannot offer partial refunds for missed sessions. Please inform us as soon as possible of any special requirements or accessibility needs.
6. Liability
We take care to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment. However, participants attend and take part at their own risk.
We do not accept liability for personal loss, damage, or injury except where caused by our proven negligence.
7. Photography and Promotion
We may take photos during courses for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in these, please inform us before the course begins.
